 Robot Visual Feedback/Control System

Type: Project

Research and development of cooperative robotic systems requires the implementation and testing of various techniques on teams of actual robots.  However, to understand what is happening on the robots and control the experiments, we require the ability to "see" what the robot is seeing and control various aspects of the robots.  For example, we might want to shut off certain functions to simulate faults, etc.

As far as viewing what the robot sees, a visual depiction of the robots sensors, etc. is required.  An example of such a system is shown below from the ActivMedia Pioneer simulator.  The goal of this project is to develop a feedback/control system that can communicate remotely with the heterogeneous robots.  All robots will be running on our own robot software.
